The Village of Lions Bay
The Village of Lions Bay is located in the northwest corner of the Greater Vancouver Regional District, it has a population of 1349 (2001 census) making it one of the smallest municipalities in British Columbia.
It is at the base of the Coast Mountain Range and on the shore of Howe Sound. It offers many hiking trails, sandy beaches, kayaking and especially skiing at the
Whistler Blackcomb
mountain resort.
The local community hall does provide some activities and there are
Community Groups
including a play school association providing pre-school for 3-5 year olds. There is a community school for Kindergarten - Grade 3 in the Village and the full education system is managed by
School District #45 .
There is also a limited public transportation bus service which is provided by Translink.
